Our New Year’s Resolution

2015 could be a pivotal year for ending global poverty. At the national level, of course we have the UK General Election in May. At the global level, world leaders will be negotiating a new set of Post-2015 ‘Sustainable Development Goals’ to replace the Millennium Development Goals. There’s never been a better opportunity to secure action to realise our goal of a world free from poverty within a generation.

There’s never been a better opportunity to secure action to realise our goal of a world free from poverty within a generation.

We want you to join us as we campaign here at home, as well as joining activists from across the world – from Mali to Mexico, Senegal to Sri Lanka, Uganda to the UK – in a global citizen’s campaign for the end of poverty.

That’s why our New Year’s Resolution – and we hope yours too – is to maximise the opportunity that 2015 presents, starting with a great General Election!

Our General Election campaign ‘Progress, Partnership, Opportunity: A poverty free world within a generation’ aims to ensure you and we build powerful relationships with candidates and MPs. Our goal is that, come May, we have a Government and Parliament of MPs that is ready and willing to fight for the end of poverty and continue UK leadership in overseas aid and development. And crucial to that – is You.
