November's action is a final push in our nutrition campaigning this year, ahead of the Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Summit, a global pledging moment for tackling malnutrition. RESULTS action groups are encouraged to organise an advocacy event, with the aim of getting as many letters as possible sent to Foreign Secretary, Liz Truss urging the UK to commit to tackling malnutrition. So in this month's conference call, we heard from Sophie Willis and Tahira Kulsoom, Field Organisers at the Aid...
In our September grassroots conference call, we focused on the issue of nutrition, with just weeks to go now before the important Nutrition for Growth Summit in early December. But that's not all! With the UN climate conference (COP-26) coming up in Glasgow, there's a great opportunity to use this UK Government priority to show the impact climate change has on food security, hunger and nutrition - see the links below.
We were privileged to hear from nutrition advocacy expert Meaza...
In 1986, RESULTS UK was launched and the first campaign group got started soon after in Macclesfield. Father and son duo Jay and Sanjay have been dedicated members of the Macclesfield group (now known as the Cheshire group) for years and continue to be an active part of the grassroots network. To celebrate 35 years of RESULTS UK and in the run up to the National Conference , we have a chat with Sanjay about his...
Thank you to Richard, Cameron, Sabah and Peter for sharing your reflections, and to Karen for the quote used in the blog title.
A 'Save 0.7%' photo stunt by the RESULTS London group, 2020.

The topic of this month's call was the work of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance , and why the UK must honour its pledges to global health funds despite the cuts to the Official Development Assistance (ODA) budget. We were delighted to welcome Dr. Chizoba Wonodi as guest speaker to the call and hear about the work of Gavi and the impact it makes. Dr. Wonodi is a public...
Our July conference call addressed the topic of COVID-19 Vaccine inequity. We discussed the necessity for countries with excess vaccines to urgently share doses with countries facing barriers to accessing vaccines.
Our expert guest speaker, Waiswa Nkwanga, Senior Associate at the ACTION Global Health Partnership , answered questions about why the dose sharing announcements made...
On Tuesday 2 June, over 35 RESULTS UK grassroots advocates from all over the country (and internationaly!) joined our monthly conference call. It was the start of National Volunteers Week so we began the call with a big thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who give up their time to take action to end global poverty. We had a roundup of updates about previous monthly actions, campaigns and events that have happened across the network.
This month, the call kicked off with Aaron Oxley, Executive Director, giving an overview of recent UK Government announcements on cuts to the UK aid budget and where we're at with the campaign to oppose the cuts (we've since published a blog post on this topic ). After a roundup about the network's activities and hearing about a few exciting events that...
"Callous and short sighted." What do the aid cuts mean for global health and education?
The Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab recently confirmed the Government’s plans to slash global health and education funding in the middle of the worst pandemic in a century.
In a statement released at the end of the day on 21 April, we learnt the Foreign Commonwealth and Development...
