A recording of the December grassroots conference call is now online. This month, we were joined by three expert RESULTS staff members to talk about our advocacy priorities for the coming year. These are also outlined in this month’s action materials. Listen or read how we plan to make a difference in 2019, and plan your own campaigning! We’ve also set out an ‘Advent of Advocacy Actions’ you can take in the run-up to the Christmas break.

Tom Guha, Parliamentary Advocacy Officer (Nutrition and Education) set out why 2019 will be an important year for building political will for funding nutrition programmes around the world, and also explained how efforts to provide an education for all must concentrate on the most marginalised children.

Rachael Hore, Policy Advocacy Officer (TB) explained about the process for replenishing the Global Fund to Fight HIV, TB and Malaria in 2019, and how you can help.

And Yasmin Mahboubi, Parliamentary Advocacy Officer (Child Health) told us about why we must redouble efforts to eradicate polio from the world through increased funding this year, and why Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance also needs donors’ support.

With so many simultaneous calls on UK aid money, we need to show how all these programmes work together to help the world’s poorest and most marginalised people out of poverty.

We start the call with Hannah McLean-Knight from the Grassroots Team sharing what you’ve been doing around the country over the last month.
