Our guest speaker on the call was Dr Al Story, Consultant Nurse and the founder and Clinical Lead of the pan-London Find & Treat Service based out of University College Hospitals.
Dr Story spoke passionately and clearly about the tuberculosis in the UK, the struggles local authorities face with finding and treating the marginalised populations who so often suffer with the disease, and the steps he sees as a way forward for bringing the disease under control.
The call marks the launch of our September action, in which we’re calling on the UK Government to develop and implement a National Strategy for fighting TB.
