It’s a Risky Business

1 March 2016

The impacts of climate change are being felt across the world, particularly by the poorest communities, including the two billion people dependent on smallholder farming. Insurance can be one important way to help people like smallholder farmers protect their livelihoods from increasingly severe and frequent extreme weather events. The G7 ‘InsuResilience’ Initiative aims to reach 400 million poor and vulnerable people with accessible insurance protection against climate risks by 2020, but this goal can only be reached with additional funding. Help us push the UK Government to commit at least £100 million in new funding towards the G7 Initiative.
